Requirements to Apply

Do you meet one of the following criterias?

  • Service Members with over 20 years of service

  • Service Member 1 year out or less from separating from the military

  • Service Members are 2-years out or less of retiring

  • A Veteran (Currently NOT serving)

  • Spouse of an Active Duty Military member

  • Spouse of a Veteran

  • ACTIVE role as an ACT Now volunteer Team Member

  • Reservist

  • National Guard

STEP 1

You MUST attend an orientation to receive the code to register successfully. The Weekly Rundown is held every Saturday at 1:00 PM ET and run to 3:00 PM ET.

STOP AND READ ME: The email you register with for the Weekly Rundown with is the same email you apply to programs with. The Weekly Rundown is tracked via the survey provided ONLY during the Weekly Rundown. Be sure to submit the code provided in the survey, else you will need to attend another Weekly Rundown. Your application will NOT move forward.

Before proceeding with our program, it is essential to submit an application form for verification purposes.

This step ensures smooth processing and allows us to accurately assess your eligibility.

FAQ

I completed my application, but received a NOT READY state email?

See STEP 1 "STOP AND READ ME" as this is the cause 90% of the time. If you dropped Weekly Rundown early, attend the Weekly Rundowns via mobile device and did not see it posted in the chat, or missed it due to not paying attention, then the only solution is to attend another Weekly Rundown. Come focused!

It's been a couple of days and where's my Coursera account?

See Step 4 - bullet #5: Please allow up to two weeks to have your application reviewed, emails will not be reviewed if a minimum of one week has not passed.

It's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't received anything about my Coursera account?

If it's been 2 weeks, perform the following actions:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder. Sometimes you may have just missed the email because it was there.

  1. Ensure your mailbox was full, this leads to you not being able to receive emails.

  1. Check your LinkedIn or Facebook messages to see if Tyrone has not already messaged you with regards to additional information or missing items.

  2. Make sure you completed all the steps in full, primarily insuring you submitted the survey with the code during the Weekly Run Down you attended and the email you used was the same email you applied with. If the email was different from the email with the application, then it would only reflect attendance of a Weekly Run Down for that email.

  3. If all of the above have been done, then create a professional Facebook Post on the ACT Now Education page requesting an update and Tag Tyrone. Emailing will only cause a greater a delay. What does a professional update request look like in a Facebook post:

    "Hi, just requesting a status update on my application. I have verified that nothing landed in spam or junk. It's been approximately X number of days. Please let me know if I'm missing anything @Tyrone Hewitt"

Unprofessional update request [THAT WILL BE IGNORED]:
"What's the status of my application? It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything! What's taking so long?!"

I tried using the code on Coursera but it's not working?

Yes, you are correct that the code is not working because the code is ONLY meant for the survey provided during the Weekly Run Down to track attendance. It's not used anywhere else i.e. like Coursera for example.
